Assorted Stem Plants | Outdoor-Grown Freshwater Aquarium Plant Mix | 30 Oz
Product Description
30 oz assortment of healthy, outdoor-grown freshwater stem plants. Each may contain a diverse mix of fast-growing species that are perfect for aquariums, breeding projects, shrimp tanks, outdoor tubs, and ponds.
Plant varieties are selected based on seasonal availability and may include:
Anacharis (Elodea)
Coontail (Ceratophyllum demersum)
Guppy Grass (Najas guadalupensis)
Our plants are grown outdoors in natural conditions, producing hardy plants that adapt well to a wide range of aquarium and pond environments. These fast-growing species help improve water quality by absorbing excess nutrients, providing oxygen, and creating excellent shelter for fish fry, shrimp, and beneficial microfauna.
Outdoor-Grown Plants
Because these plants are grown outdoors without chemical sterilization, they may contain beneficial hitchhikers. Possible hitchhikers include:
Freshwater snails or snail eggs
California Blackworms
Daphnia
Moina
Freshwater copepods
Paramecium
Ricefish eggs
Assorted aquatic insect larvae
Helobdella species
and other naturally occurring microorganisms
Many hobbyists appreciate these hitchhikers as they contribute to a healthy, biodiverse ecosystem and often provide a natural live food source for fish and fry. If you prefer a hitchhiker-free aquarium, we recommend quarantining or dipping plants before introducing them into your pond / tank.
